Laurice Dunning, M.W. - M.S.

Laurice is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine and a 1995 post-graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and earned her Masters in Midwifery at the Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science. Laurice has more than 20 years of labor and delivery experience and has worked with midwives from Germany, England and Austria as a Captain in the US Army Nurse Corp.

Here in the Lehigh Valley, Laurice was instrumental in the development of the high-risk perinatal unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital. She has cared for women in labor and delivery units and birth center settings. Laurice is the owner and director of the private practice she started, The Midwives and Associates, Inc.

Laurice is passionate about women having choices in their pregnancy and birth. Having experience in a birth center, Laurice brings care and philosophy to the hospital setting.

Laurice speaks before women’s groups on many health care issues important to women. She believes educating women about their health and their choices is the key to a life of wellness.

Laurice is married and has two grown children. She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, reading and working in her flower garden.
